The National Construction Equipment Convention (NCEC 2018)
A machine simulator and virtual reality technology equip Hitachi to showcase a full breath of capability to deliver to the construction industry
This year, the National Construction Equipment Convention (NCEC 2018) was held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park across a three day event. This is Australia's first national event for the civil engineering and infrastructure construction industry, with an aim to facilitate industry development by displaying cutting-edge technology, construction-related products and equipment demonstrations to businesses in the construction sector.
The inaugural NCEC showcased 67 exhibitors including HCA as one of the largest original equipment manufacturers on display. The latest equipment and technology in the civil engineering, construction and infrastructure industry was displayed on the impressive 3,000sqm exhibition floor. Global equipment launches, Tech Show Zone and a Job Exchange Zone were amongst the exciting activities featured over the course of the convention.
The exhibit for HCA included the use of a simulator and virtual reality demonstrating Intelligent Communication Technology (ICT) as well as showcasing the first ZX210LCX-6 mid-size excavator in Australia with factory integrated ICT 3D machine control. Developed in Japan as part of a comprehensive suite of ICT solutions for Tomorrow’s Job Site, called Solution Linkage, the ZX210LCX-6 utilises Solution linkage in order to improve safety, increase productivity and reduce lifestyle costs. Also on display was the Hitachi ZW310-5 wheel loader and ZX17U mini excavator.
HCA were proud sponsors of the event and welcomed the opportunity to demonstrate the latest technological advances made by the company on a national stage.
